Support for Arts in Schools

The Arts Support team promotes creative arts as an entitlement for all young people.

We support performing arts, visual arts, multimedia arts and the art of technology.

We can support schools to achieved this by developing a robust plan of action that focuses on:

• Encouraging improvements in the standards of provision.
• Raising standards of achievement in the Arts.
• The expansion of opportunities to develop Arts education.
• Raising the profile of arts education within schools and within communities.
• Encouraging effective partnerships between schools, arts agencies and national organisations.
• Raising Arts awareness through exhibitions, performances and festivals.
• Facilitating residencies and developing external links and networks.
• Providing extended opportunities for Gifted and Talented Pupils.
